Jimmy Olimpaito

Jim, laying down the groove for Mo'rock, has played drums on the local music scene for many years. He became interested in music at the age of 10, making sounds alongside his two brothers. With one brother playing trumpet and the other on drums, Jim's first instrument of choice was the tenor saxophone. Years later, inspired by the drum sounds heard on his favorite recordings, he found his musical direction. With that kit in the corner of the basement and some drive and dedication, he taught himself to play and has been at it ever since.

After a couple years and many hours of jamming with friends, it was time to form his own band. The Ohm's Law Band was a staple of the central Jersey music scene for over a decade, and Jim booked the band all over NJ and PA. His favorite drum kit is his own creation which he customized to his own specifications- the latest mod being the Mo'rock design on the shells.

Jim always looks forward to playing that kit, and providing the solid vocal harmonies that will drive Mo'rock as a great choice for dance and entertainment.
